Fort Desoto

We were so excited about collecting shells that we went to another beach. This beach is Fort Desoto Beach. They have many sand dollars there.
We had to cross through the water to get to the beach. The boys enjoyed it. Over the last two weeks it has been raining every day like cats and dogs. We decided to try and go to the beach anyway. We were there for about an hour and it started to rain. We headed for cover.

It didn't take long for the rain to go away. I found a Welch egg case to the right and a snail trail to the left.

Wow look at those clouds behind the boys. It was hard to figure out which way the storm was heading. The boys didn't care They had fun playing in the sand anyway.

So gloomy!!!! You wouldn't believe how much rain was hiding in these clouds. When we left it was like the ocean dumped on the land.

Here is a snail finding his way.

You know it is very cool to hop into a car and drive for 1 or 2 hours to find and experience all that is around us. I love seeing new places. I am so blessed to have a husband that loves to explore. You all should try it. Just hop into a car and drive 2 hours or three and enjoy the sights.

So, my sister is getting married and this is a purse I knitted up for her. It was so much fun knitting with beads. This is made with Halycon yarn Size 3 Mercerized cotton. I can't believe how soft it is. I want to make another one. So many projects. I must finish the other doll. Yes I was making two dolls at a time in case I sold one. I only have to finish her hair and apron. Almost there. Then I have to finish my first pair of socks. I may secretly go ahead and make this bag. It only took me a week to make.

Well I hope I encouraged everyone to go and explore. Everyday is an adventure.

What a cute purse!

Seems like everyone had a great time at the beach, despite the weather. :)

When I lived in Tampa we spent many a Saturday at Ft. Desoto's beach! I miss the gulf beaches. Your photos brought back many memories. Thank you!
