A Bracelet for Meaghan

I made this bracelet for my niece Meaghan. She is going to UF. I miss her and hope she is having an educational experience of a lifetime. I have to hurry up and make a FSU bracelet for myself. It was hard to look at the gator colors when I'm a Seminole fan, but my Meaghan was worth it. Have fun at school Meaghan!!!!!!!!!!!

Knitted Candy Corn Bracelet

This bracelet only took me one day to make. It was so much fun.
I have 4 different bracelets still to make.
My Second cousin Jean Sparks sent me a triangular loom. I can't wait to start weaving on it. It was so awesome of her to send it to me. There are so many projects and so little time. AAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh do you ever feel that way. I have sock yarn that I bought on vacation starring at me everytime I walk into my room. If I could pick up more hours at work I could get more knitting done. Well I am off to do some more knitting.

Back From Vacation

Our first stop on vacation was to Graceland. On this tour we were able to see his home, the building that holds all his automobiles, his awards, and his airplanes. After seeing all his amazing things I was all shook up :)

There is light at the end of the tunnel. We went on a train ride through the Ozarks in Missouri. It was beautiful. You could see the sky in this train car, it was really cool.

Then we went on a horse trail through the Ozarks. It is so beautiful it makes me want to move there.
Then we went to Silver Dollar City. We hiked down into a cave. This cave was so big they had 5 hot air balloons in it to celebrate something, that I can't remember what because I was at the last person at the end of the tour. It was hard to hear.

This ride was really cold. I think it was 60 degrees outside and we got wet. Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. There was this roller coaster that was there. It was the scariest ride ever. I'm sorry I don't have a photo of it. It was on a side of a mountain, so you felt like you were higher than you really were. I was so scared I couldn't stop laughing, people thought I was crazy.

We also enjoyed a game of putt putt. Austin on the left got a whole in one.

Then we went to Gatlinburg. There we went hiking, we saw 3 bear cubs on our hike. We weren't that close so you couldn't see them in the photo. It was a good hike. I didn't have any problems because I was wearing the most comfortable shoes ever. Made by Merrell.

I actually woke up early one morning at caught the sun rise. It was really beautiful.

Here is the photo of the most comfortable shoes ever. Also of Cades Cove. It is a beautiful dive, just outside of Gatlinburg. Some of the trees started changing colors.

This is the scariest hunted house I have ever been to. It is located behind the ski lifts downtown Gatlinburg.

The highlight of my trip was going to Spinnery in Gatlinburg. It is a cute store that has yarn, yarn, yarn, also weaving tools, spinning tools and fiber, books. I haven't been to a store like this one in a long time. They don't have many stores like this one in Orlando.

While on my trip, I finished my weaving project. Well, It was a tad too short to make a shawl, so I stitched it together to make a cute bag. I love how colorful it is.

I had a lot of time riding in the car. However, I wasted no time. I came up with this cute pumpkin bracelet. The pattern will be available in ETSY hopefully tonight. On my trip I looked for yarn stores everywhere. I was very lucky to find one. It made me want to write a book called "Where are all the LYS??!! "
I had a great time on my trip with Barry(my husband), the kids (Austin and Aidan), and my Inlaws Barry and Linda. Many wonderful memories. Thank you.
