I Had a Birthday

Duna, duna, duna they say it's your birthday, It's my birthday too yeah. It was mine and Cindy my twin sister's birthday on July 1, 2009. My mom and Barry also went with us to Epcot. Unfortunately John Cindy's husband could not go. He was missed. We will get to celebrate with him next year on our Birthday. They moved to Minnesota two months ago, so it will be difficult for us to get together more often.
We had beverages around the world at Epcot. We also went on a mission for Kim Possible and captured the evil villains.

Behind us was a tribute band for Bon Jovi. They were pretty good. they played all the favorites, so they played them all. I think every Bon Jovi song is a favorite.
Knowing me, I just did something to make Barry say why me? and then I just had to hug him. He got us reservations at the restaurant in Canada. One of the reasons why we chose Canada is that our birthday is on Canada Day. Oh Canada!!!!!

Ahhhhhhh look out a big golf ball is headed our way. Oh wait, It is Spaceship Earth. Yikes I was worried. I had so much fun on our birthday. Thank you Mom, Dad , Barry and Cindy for spending time with me on that day.

A couple of weeks ago we went to St. Augustine. At the visitor center they had a weaving loom. I had to have restraint because I wanted to sit down and start weaving. They had some yarn that was made of linen there.
The weaving was very beautiful. I wish I could meet the artist. I have some info on the guild there. I am going to try to get in touch with them and find out about how to get in touch with other guilds. I would love to learn some techniques from a real live person. So far I have learned everything from books or video.

This place looks cool. It is near Flaggler College. We took a tram tour of the city. It was very entertaining and we saw the city without having to walk around it.

This is St. Augustine Beach. It was very pretty, but not a lot of shells. In all the years that I have been married I haven't ever been to the beach as much as I have this summer. I am so glad that we've had the opportunity to do this.
Awe I just love this man.
Next is Tarpon Springs. We went here this past weekend. We went on a boat tour to see how they got the sponges out of Tarpon Springs
This diver went out in the water every hour to dive for sponges. His suite is very heavy. The hook he is holding is what he uses to pick up the sponges with.

Everyone has to have one of these pictures. Trick photography, I think not. Ha Ha. Despite the many days I've been working this summer, I have enjoyed the times I am getting out and going places with my family. I promise I have been working on knitting projects, weaving etc. I will make that my next post.

I Am Trying To Keep Up, Amelia Island

There is light at the end of the tunnel. This is a tunnel at a Fort Clinch in Amelia Island. It has many hidden entry ways to the fort. This is Krystin my niece. We were walking up the stairs and I turned around and asked her a question and I thought this would make a cute photo. I like it. Well I found the outhouse. It didn't appear to be used as of lately, so I thought I would give it a try ;) Just kidding.
Austin said these beds aren't comfortable at all. I don't know how they slept on these. No Temperpedic here. Aidan didn't know what to think. He thought the place was a playground.
This fort was filled with many nooks and crannies. I wonder what it would've been like to live back in the days when the fort was occupied.I wonder what it down the left path? Maybe we can find out the next time?
Last we went to the beach. There are suppose to be shark teeth here on this beach. All I found were tiny shells and this cute little guy. He found himself a shell.
The beach was rough at the shore. It crashed hard and some people were knocked down hard. Krystin actually had cuts and scraps from getting knocked down and the shells hitting her really hard. She was not a happy camper.
In the end we didn't find any shark teeth. We are going to try a beach over by Tampa next time to try and find some. On my way out to this beach I was working on a purse I am making for my mom's friend. I haven't taken any pictures of it yet, but when I do I will post it. I am very behind on my posts. I have done so much this summer so far and I am working 6 sometimes 7 days a week. We are going out doing things when we get off work, as well as when I get a day off we are off. I will try to post more this week to catch every one up on what I've been working on. I am also weaving another bag for a friend of mine. It is made with natural dyed hand spun yarn. i love the amazing colors. I hope to finish that one soon. I am sure the new owner is wanting it. Until next time. Enjoy the time you have seeking out adventures in life.

My Twin Sister's Wedding

My Twin sister is getting married. Here we are at dinner. John aren't you glad I didn't order the lobster? (Inside joke). We are at a Japanese restaurant where they cook in front of you. Yummy!!!

Here are two handsome men. My father on the left, and my father in law on the right. He married Cindy and John. He also married me and Barry.

Practice makes perfect.

Here we are playing golf the day before the wedding. Fun!!!!!!!! I lost so many balls. At least I had fun. I normally don't loose my balls. They were the balls my dad gave me. Sorry Dad.

Here is the cute couple!!!!!

They aren't nervous at all.

Here they are putting together the programs.

My mom and Cindy decorated the cake. It was yummy!!!!

I got these air dry clay flowers off ETSY. They were beautiful!!

Here are Cindy's adorable son's. They did a wonderful job in the wedding.

Here we are. Cindy looks amazing. She is glowing with love in her eyes. I can't get over how gorgeous she is. I am not saying this because we look a like, because you can see we look different in this picture.

I love her so much.

My mom also made the flowers. Here is one proud dad!!

My parents are looking good!!!!! My mom is showing off her shoulders. She is one hot momma!!

Awe

My mom decorated the arch as well.

I think John's brother may be picking his nose.
After the wedding it was time for Cindy and John to hop into their car, finish packing up, and get ready to hit the road to Minnesota. I am very sad that she has moved away. I hope we can live near each other again soon. I miss her so much. She will be down to visit from time to time, and I will go and visit her when the knitting convention goes to Mall of America. Of Course. I guess life goes on and it leads us down different paths sometimes. I hope ours get to cross over back and forth like my yarn does on my knitting needles. I love you Cindy!!!!! Welcome to the family John!!!!!

The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad

Barry brought the kids to see my show I am the one holding my son. Can you recognize me?
This show is fun to preform in. I would only have the opportunity to do this role every now and then, or every 6 weeks. There are many stunts involved in this show, so they like for people to be there at least every 6 weeks. Here are some video clips of me in the show Barry took of me. This is a real metal ax. Sindbad is using a real sword. I work with some amazing talented people on this show.
These clips are in order of the show, but most of the show was taken out due to how long the show is.
You can see the whole video by looking on you tube and follow this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbbOPI8Xkis my friend Susan is the figurehead in this show. That is the name of the role I do.
This video is where I jump into the water. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!Thank you Barry for coming to my show and bringing the kids. You are an awesome husband!!!! I love you!!!

Fort Desoto

We were so excited about collecting shells that we went to another beach. This beach is Fort Desoto Beach. They have many sand dollars there.
We had to cross through the water to get to the beach. The boys enjoyed it. Over the last two weeks it has been raining every day like cats and dogs. We decided to try and go to the beach anyway. We were there for about an hour and it started to rain. We headed for cover.

It didn't take long for the rain to go away. I found a Welch egg case to the right and a snail trail to the left.

Wow look at those clouds behind the boys. It was hard to figure out which way the storm was heading. The boys didn't care They had fun playing in the sand anyway.

So gloomy!!!! You wouldn't believe how much rain was hiding in these clouds. When we left it was like the ocean dumped on the land.

Here is a snail finding his way.

You know it is very cool to hop into a car and drive for 1 or 2 hours to find and experience all that is around us. I love seeing new places. I am so blessed to have a husband that loves to explore. You all should try it. Just hop into a car and drive 2 hours or three and enjoy the sights.

So, my sister is getting married and this is a purse I knitted up for her. It was so much fun knitting with beads. This is made with Halycon yarn Size 3 Mercerized cotton. I can't believe how soft it is. I want to make another one. So many projects. I must finish the other doll. Yes I was making two dolls at a time in case I sold one. I only have to finish her hair and apron. Almost there. Then I have to finish my first pair of socks. I may secretly go ahead and make this bag. It only took me a week to make.

Well I hope I encouraged everyone to go and explore. Everyday is an adventure.
